The Father's Love

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." [22] Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" [23] Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. --John 14:21-23 NKJV

Two important things here:

1. Jesus said, "He who has my commandments, and keeps them..." Keep in mind what Jesus' commandments are. He said, "A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you..." (John 13:34) There is no reason for you to worry about any other commandments. Walking in love sums up the whole business, because God's Word says, "...love is the fulfilling of the law" (Rom. 13:10). If you keep Jesus' commandments, you will have fulfilled the rest of the commandments.

2. "...Will be loved of my Father...." If you walk in love, you are walking in God's realm, because God is love. God's very nature, because He is love, compels Him to care for us, protect us, and shield us!

Confession: I know the commands of my Lord. I love others as God has loved me. I walk in love toward my brethren. I show my love for Jesus by keeping His love commandment. The Father loves me and Jesus is manifest in me, because I keep His Word in me!
